Tammy Abraham praises Frank Lampard's management of Chelsea
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has praised manager Frank Lampard, who has shown the trust in the younger players during the ongoing season.
Both Abraham and Mason Mount have been a regular feature under the new Blues boss this term and this has paid dividends with the duo contributing all four goals in the Premier League.
Abraham scored two of those during the recent 3-2 league triumph over Norwich City on the road and speaking after that game, the marksman said that Lampard has shown plenty of belief in the club graduates.
"It's always nice to have that support behind you, especially how he supports the young lads. He gives us confidence. When a coach believes in you, you just want to do your best and give 100 per cent," he told the club's website.
Abraham was criticised by a section of the fans for the lack of impact upfront but he silenced plenty of doubters by scoring his first two goals for the club during the recent Norwich clash.
Still, he needs to remain consistent with his performances for the long run if he wants to cement his position as the first-choice centre-forward. Chelsea host Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge before the international break.
