Manchester United still monitoring Portuguese star
Manchester United are still interested in signing Bruno Fernandes after scouting the Portuguese during the recent game between Sporting and Portimonense.
The Red Devils were widely linked with the playmaker during the summer transfer window but a move never materialised as they were reluctant to meet Sporting's £63m price tag.
Despite this, they still seem to hold an interest in the 24-year-old and O Jogo reports that the talent-spotters from the club were in attendance as Sporting faced Portimonense over the weekend.
It is added that the representatives were impressed with the performance of the former Sampdoria man, who set up all three goals in the 3-1 league triumph for Sporting.
Aside from United, Real Madrid have also been linked with an approach for Fernandes and reports indicate that they could make a late move for his services this summer after missing out on Paul Pogba.
Manchester United are scheduled to tackle Southampton on the road during this weekend's league fixture. They have managed just four points from the opening three games and sit sixth on the table.
