Manchester United make transfer decision on Fred

Manchester United midfielder Fred has reportedly received assurances that he will be offered with gametime over the course of the ongoing campaign.

Fred had an average debut season with the Red Devils last term and so far, he has failed to make an appearance in the opening three games of the new campaign.

As a result, there has been the speculation that he could make the surprise move to Fiorentina before the European transfer deadline but The Times claims that won't be the case.

It is added that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still values the midfielder's talents and has assured the Brazilian with opportunities to impress through the season.

United have made an average start to the Premier League campaign and they have registered just four points from the opening three games. Next up, they are scheduled to face Southampton on the road.

The Red Devils will be without Luke Shaw, who has sustained a hamstring problem while there are also doubts regarding the fitness of Anthony Martial.
