Arsene Wenger reveals Frank Lampard's main concern at Chelsea
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that Frank Lampard's Chelsea may struggle to compete for the Premier League title, considering the inexperience in the forward and defensive departments.
The Blues have made a mixed start to the season with just five points accumulated from the opening four games and this sees them in the 11th position on the table.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Wenger said that the Gunners may have the best chance of fighting for the league title alongside the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
He added that the Blues are unlikely to keep up with the Citizens and the Reds, considering Lampard has to deal with the lack of experience on both ends of the field.
"Maybe the team who has the potential is Arsenal who could be the closest. Chelsea looks a bit young, not enough maturity up front and not enough maturity at the back," he said.
Chelsea return from the international break with an away game at Wolverhampton Wanderers. They picked up just one point against the Wolves last season.
