Chelsea midfielder planning long-term stay

Jorginho wants long-term Chelsea stay - Agent

The agent of Jorginho has revealed that the midfielder wants to remain with Chelsea on a long-term basis after settling into his job at the west London side.

The Italy international came for criticism from the Blues fans whenever the club succumbed to defeats under former boss Maurizio Sarri last season but he has received a different reception with Frank Lampard at the helm.

Moreover, Lampard has himself admitted that he is fortunate to have the services of the midfielder and agent Santos has revealed that the 27-year-old sees a long-term career with the Blues.

"We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea, similar to when he joined Hellas Verona and then Napoli. There are five years left on his contract and let's say he'd like to stay for at least another four years," he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

Jorginho has been ever-present for the Blues in the centre of the park but he has not been able to find a regular midfield partner with N'Golo Kante in the treatment room on a couple of occasions.

Mateo Kovacic, who has partnered the Italian on a few instances, is also struggling with a swelling on his Achilles tendon grip which was reported on international duty.
