Tottenham Hotspur fear losing 27-year-old attacker on a free
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly fearful that Christian Eriksen will rebuff their attempts to sanction his sale during the winter transfer window.
The Dane has just nine months remaining on his current contract with Spurs and so far, he has shown no indication that he would be prepared to sign an extension.
According to The Mail, Spurs are prepared to accept offers around £30m for their prized asset in the New Year but their move could be blocked by the midfielder, who seems to favour a summer exit from the club.
It is added that the former Ajax graduate is on the look out for an elite European outfit and he could be open to discussing a pre-contract with an overseas club at the turn of the year.
Eriksen has bagged just one goal from eight games for Spurs this term. He recently missed a penalty in the shootout as Spurs suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Colchester United in the League Cup.
