Arsenal boss updates on Hector Bellerins fitness ahead of Manchester United clash

Emery says Bellerin won't be involved against Manchester United

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has said that Hector Bellerin is unlikely to be selected for the forthcoming Premier League game against Manchester United on the road.

Bellerin made his comeback from a long-term injury during the recent League Cup tie against Nottingham Forest where he was afforded with a 16-minute cameo.

The right-back made an instant impression with a brace in the comfortable 5-0 triumph but Emery is certain that he won't be involved against the Red Devils under the recommendation of the club's doctors.

"I think no. Maybe in his mind yes, but we need to listen to the doctor and the doctor wants to do it progressively. Really tonight is the first day and the first minutes, and we are going to maybe share some minutes with the under-23s," he told Football.London.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles will return to the mix after serving a one-game domestic suspension and Emery has a potential selection headache on his hands for Monday night.

Calum Chambers, who started on the right side of the defence against Forest, produced a stellar performance with a hat-trick of assists and it remains to be seen whether he will get the nod over Maitland-Niles.
