Sanllehi speaks on Ozil's situation

Arsenal's Head of Football Raul Sanllehi has said that manager Unai Emery does not have any personal issues with Mesut Ozil and the German needs to work harder to earn regular gametime.

The former Germany international has made just two appearances across all competitions this term and he has failed to make the matchday squad for the past three games.

Speaking at Arsenal Fan Forum, Sanllehi is hopeful that Ozil will start playing more often following the international break, considering his quality cannot be doubt.

There is nothing against Mesut on the contrary and I hope we get to see him much more in the next games because his qualities are without question, but he needs to contribute 24/7 and that’s what Unai expects from him," he told Football.London.

He added that Emery has to deal with a number of players in the first-team squad and he can't treat Ozil differently to the rest, who are meeting his demands on the training pitch.

Arsenal are presently third in the league standings after accumulating four wins and three draws. They are set to face a tricky challenge against Sheffield United on the road after the international break.
