Manchester United set to land first winter signing?
Manchester United reportedly have a verbal agreement to pursue Mario Mandzukic from Juventus when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Red Devils permitted both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (on loan) to leave the club during the summer and this has left them short in the striking department.
Anthony Martial has been injured since the opening weeks of the campaign while Marcus Rashford has barely impressed with his poor positioning and finishing in the box.
According to The Express, the Mancunian giants have already reached a verbal agreement with Mandzukic and they will have to pay a sum of around £10m to land him from Juventus at the turn of the year.
Mandzukic has recently turned down a big-money move to Qatar and reports have clearly indicated that he wants to join the Red Devils after failing to sign for them during the summer.
The former Bayern Munich man has contributed 44 goals from 162 appearances for the Bianconeri but he has yet to make a single appearance under manager Maurizio Sarri this term.
