AC Milan to make £13m swoop for Arsenal midfielder
AC Milan are reportedly plotting a winter approach to sign Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The Egypt international was deemed surplus to requirements at Arsenal during the summer and he was loaned out to Besiktas before the European transfer deadline.
Elneny has since struggled to make an impact with just three appearances for the Istanbul outfit, and there are suggestions that Besiktas may consider terminating his temporary deal at the turn of the year.
According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are keeping a close watch on the proceedings and they have earmarked Elneny as a potential candidate to replace Franck Kessie, who has been linked with a winter move to the Premier League.
The same publication claims that the Gunners may be willing to sanction Elneny's move to the Rossoneri on an initial loan, provided they are prepared to include an obligatory £13m buy option.
Aside from Elneny, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi are likewise facing uncertain futures with the Gunners and the duo could be offloaded when the transfer window reopens in January.
