Liverpool receive big injury boost ahead of Man United clash

Alisson to face Man United

Liverpool have received a huge injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Manchester United with goalkeeper Alisson Becker declared fit.

The Brazil international has been in the treatment room for more than two months after picking up a calf problem during the season opener against Norwich City.

According to The Telegraph, Alisson has completed his final stage of recovery from the injury setback and he has been declared fit to start between the sticks against United.

In the absence of Alisson, summer signing Adrian has been the regular choice in goal for the European champions and he has done an impressive job with a number of key saves.

Liverpool have not been able to register regular clean sheets unlike last season but they should not be concerned about the defensive record so long as they keep winning games.

Jurgen Klopp's side are presently at the top of the Premier League standings with 24 points and they are already holding an eight-point advantage over reigning champions Manchester City, who are behind them.
