Chelsea defender Reece James heading out on loan?
Leeds United are reportedly considering a loan move for Chelsea's Reece James when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The 19-year-old made his comeback from an ankle injury last month and he has since made a couple of starts in the League Cup and Champions League.
Despite this, he remains an outsider for the league duties with Cesar Azpilicueta regarded as the first-choice right-back and it seems that Leeds are exploring the possibility of a mid-season loan for his services.
According to Football Insider, the Peacocks are likely to pursue new recruits in January to enhance their promotion hopes and an approach could be made for James, if he struggles to command regular playing time with the Blues.
James has made a lively beginning to his Blues career and he has already bagged a goal and two assists. He featured in the right wing-back position against Lille in the Champions League and it remains to be seen whether Lampard opts the same setup in the top-flight to include both Azpilicueta and James in the starting XI.
