Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides positive injury update on two players
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial could make their comebacks during the forthcoming Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Wan-Bissaka has missed the past three matches for United with a bout of tonsillitis while Martial has been sidelined since the end of August with a thigh problem.
However, ahead of the weekend game, Solskjaer has revealed that both Martial and Wan-Bissaka are back in contention but they could be restricted to cameo roles off the bench.
"Hopefully Aaron and Anthony will last the training this week and be available for selection. If it's for half a game or 30 minutes I don't know but let's see where they're at," he told Sky Sports.
United are presently just two points ahead of the drop zone. They face a stiff challenge on Sunday with Premier League leaders Liverpool making the trip to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have had a dominant record against their fierce rivals over the years but a victory over Jurgen Klopp's side this weekend would come as a huge surprise.
