Chelsea lining up January move for 24-year-old striker
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a winter approach to sign Krzysztof Piatek from the ranks of AC Milan.
The Blues are presently banned from registering any players until July 1 but they are allegedly confident of getting the embargo lifted by the New Year.
Tammy Abraham has already established himself as the first-choice striker with Michy Batshuayi proving an effective back-up but Lampard seems keen on landing a new recruit.
According to Calciomercato, the west London giants are looking into a deal for Piatek from the Rossoneri and a £30m offer could be made when the transfer window reopens.
Piatek has struck 14 goals from 29 appearances for the Rossoneri since his January move but there are suggestions that the club may need to sell some of their first-team stars with the Financial Fair Play regulations remaining a concern.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Piatek in the past but they seem to have shifted their attention towards signing an experienced striker in the form of Juventus' Mario Mandzukic.
