Lampard to go on January spending spree?

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard could reportedly be handed with a £150m kitty to spend in January, should the club overcome their transfer embargo.

The west London giants are presently unable to register new players until next summer due to a ban imposed by FIFA for breaching multiple regulations concerning under-age foreign players.

According to The Sun, the Blues remain optimistic of winning their battle against the transfer embargo when their appeal is head before the Court of Arbitration for Sport on November 20.

The same outlet claims that the west London giants have plenty of funds to spend after the summer sale of Eden Hazard and Lampard could be offered as much as £150m to go on a winter spending spree.

The Blues are said to be eyeing a new left-sided defender and Leicester City's Ben Chilwell has been regularly highlighted as the prime target to bolster the position.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner are also on the club's radar with Lampard aiming to strengthen the attack front despite the positives during the first half of the season.
