Barcelona are looking for Valverde's replacement
The Barcelona management are being pressurised by players and fans to get rid of Ernesto Valverde immediately.
Since his arrival at the Camp Nou, the former Athletic Bilbao manager has won 2 La Liga titles, 1 Copa del Rey trophy and 1 Supercopa de España title. However, those achievements were overshadowed by their embarrassing elimination in the Champions League by AS Roma and Liverpool in the last 2 seasons.
Lionel Messi has advised the management to recruit Ronald Koeman as the next head coach. But it seems like the Dutchman will not leave his position as the boss of Netherlands national football team at least until the end of Euro 2020.
Reportedly, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is also among the coaches targeted by Barcelona. Klopp led Liverpool to win the Champions League last season and he is now on track to win this year's Premier League. Nevertheless, recruiting Klopp will not be an easy task considering the fierce competition from rivals Real Madrid, who also want Klopp to be their manager.
The next test for Valverde is a match against Slavia Prague at Camp Now. Since Barcelona are awarded with home advantage, the hosts are fancied to get 3 points easily.
