Tottenham Hotspur want Ajax star to replace Christian Eriksen
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in landing the signature of Hakim Ziyech at the turn of the year amid the uncertainty over the future of Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen has just eight months remaining on his existing deal with the north London giants and he has been touted to join Manchester United when the transfer window reopens.
According to 90min, Spurs are looking into an immediate winter replacement for the Dane and Ziyech has been earmarked as the prime target for the transfer window.
Ziyech has been an instrumental player for Ajax over the past few seasons and he helped the Dutch outfit win a domestic double last term while also guiding them to the Champions League semi-final.
He has continued his good form this season with six goals and 15 assists from 21 appearances and it is unclear whether Ajax will consider the mid-season departure of the Morocco international.
Spurs have made a dreadful beginning to the current campaign and they are presently 14th in the league standings with the same number of points. They have a London derby at West Ham United after the international break.
