Chelsea to compete with Tottenham for Metz striker?
Chelsea could reportedly compete with Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Metz striker Habib Diallo in January.
The 24-year-old has spent his entire career with the French Ligue 1 outfit and in the current season, he has scored eight goals from just 12 league games.
This has already caught the attention of Premier League sides such as Newcastle United, Leicester City and Spurs but he could now be the subject of interest from the Blues.
Frank Lampard's side are currently not in a position to make any signings until next summer due to a transfer ban but they are confident of winning their appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on November 20.
Should that be the case, there could be more than one signing during the winter transfer window with Lampard also keen on recruiting a new left-back and central midfielder.
Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi have done a tremendous job upfront with a combined 16 goals this term but the Blues are still likely to pursue a new striker with Olivier Giroud expected to force through an exit amid his lack of gametime.
