Wolves want to sign AC Milan midfielder
Franck Kessie is linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to The Birmingham Mail. The Ivorian is playing his third season at AC Milan after his stint with another Serie A side Atalanta.
Earlier reports said that the Wolves had agreed on a move for the midfielder over the summer but they turned out to be false. Kessie was also previously linked with Chelsea. However, no deal was made since the Blues were unable to make any transfers due to the FIFA ban.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Wolves have put an offer for the midfielder. Kessie is believed to be valued more than £25 million. It is also reported that Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to add more depth to Wolves’ midfield. Santo had reportedly sparked the interest in Kessie over the summer but the transfer did not happen due to their late approach in the window.
If Wolves pull this deal off, it won't be the first time they will do business with AC Milan. Last July, Wolves paid Milan £20 million for Italian striker Patrick Cutrone.
