Italian Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly plotting a move for RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland. According to CalcioMercato, Napoli are ready to spend as much as £34m for the player.

Haaland has scored 26 goals in all competitions for RB Salzburg this season including seven goals in the Champions League. The striker is currently the top scorer in the Champions League ahead of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski (6 goals) and Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling (5 goals).

His brilliant performances have attracted the attention of several Europe's biggest clubs as he continues to cement his reputation as one of the most potent strikers in Europe.

Apart from Napoli, clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Serie A champions Juventus are all in the race for Haaland’s signature. However, many believe the Red Devils are the frontrunners for his signature since United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously worked with the Norwegian at Molde. Besides, according to Haaland’s father, the 19-year-old has ambitions to play in the Premier League.
