Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly given the go-ahead for the club to secure the signing of Paul Pogba from Manchester United next summer.

Pogba spent four years with the Bianconeri between 2012 and 2016 before making the return to Old Trafford for a then-world-record fee of £89m.

The Frenchman has since struggled to replicate the same level of consistent performances from his Turin days and there have recently been suggestions that he could favour a return to the Bianconeri.

According to El Desmarque, Ronaldo has approved Juventus' ongoing pursuit of the 2018 World Cup winner and there could be a formal approach for the midfielder shortly after the season concludes.

United were alleged to demand around £180m for Pogba during the summer but reports indicate that he could be available for around £150m at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane apparently is also keen on landing the signature of the United graduate but Los Blancos' hierarchy seem unlikely to match United's price tag after the £270m spending spree this year.
