Juventus eye January swoop for Chelsea left-back
Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on a reunion with Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Italy international has been Frank Lampard's first-choice for the left-back role but he has missed a number of league games this term due to a muscular problem.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Sarri is determined to bolster the Bianconeri backline at the beginning of the year and Emerson has emerged as one of the prime targets on his radar.
Emerson has started the last three Premier League games on the bounce for the Blues but he recently experienced a tough outing at Manchester City where he was responsible for the goals conceded.
The west London side have been fancied to pursue a new left-sided defender in the New Year, if they are able to overcome their transfer ban and that could pave the way for Emerson's potential departure.
