David Moyes to return as Everton manager?
David Moyes is reportedly the favourite to replace Marco Silva as the new head coach of Everton.
The Toffees recently suffered a disappointing 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Norwich City and this has left them stranded in the 15th spot ahead of a tough league schedule ahead.
According to The Mirror, club owner Farhad Moshiri is keen to show his loyalty towards Silva after backing the Spaniard with significant funds to bolster the squad in recent transfer windows.
However, it is suggested that the 64-year-old won't remain patient for long and Silva's sacking seems inevitable, should the Toffees suffer another defeat at Leicester City this weekend.
Moyes is the leading candidate to replace Silva at the helm and reports indicate that the Scot could be handed with a short-term deal until the end of the season to prove that he is the right man for the job.
Everton have a difficult schedule ahead as they face the likes of Leicester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in the Premier League in the space of one month.
