Chelsea receive injury boost ahead of Valencia clash
Chelsea have received an injury boost ahead of the Valencia game with midfielder Ross Barkley participating in training alongside his Blues teammates.
The England international has been out of action for more than a month with an ankle concern and he recently withdrew from the Three Lions squad for the same reason.
However, ahead of the Champions League clash against Valencia, Barkley has returned to full training and he is in contention to make the matchday squad, Football.London claims.
The Blues are currently tied on seven points with Ajax and Valencia in their Champions League group but they are trailing both of them on the head-to-head record after four group games.
As such, they may have to win the remaining two matches to qualify or else they will be dependent on the results elsewhere. The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge during the last meeting against Valencia, which was also the competition's opener.
