Manchester United will reportedly face competition from a host of top European clubs as they seek to land the signature of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark international has declined to sign a new contract at the north London club and he would be available on a free transfer when his deal expires next summer.

According to 90min, Spurs don't want to lose their contract rebel on a Bosman and they are likely to cash in on his services when the transfer window reopens.

United have been touted as the favourites to land the Dane in recent weeks but reports claim that they could face a bidding battle with the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is understood to have recently held a private meeting with the Dane regarding a contract extension but the attacker has made it clear that he sees his future away from the club.
