Manchester United star is uncertain about his future
Jesse Lingard has said that he is uncertain about his future at Old Trafford while speaking to Independent.
Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has spoken about his future ahead of Europa League clash.
He said,(h/t Independent)
“I've been at United so long, it's like a family.” "It's such a tight-knit group, from the fans to the staff, everyone's so close and together. Who knows what will happen in the future but at the moment I'm enjoying my football."
It was said that the English attacker would be signing a new four-year contract soon, but he has now expressed his uncertainty.
Lingard has fallen down the pecking order of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer owing to the poor run of form over the years. The homegrown star has appeared as a non-starter for half of the matches played so far this season in Premier League.
However, the Norwegian manager still sees the 26-year-old as a valuable addition for the club’s future.
The Red Devils are currently fifth in the Premier League table after picking up two massive wins against Spurs and arch-rivals Manchester City in a space of two days.
Having qualified for the knock-out round of Europa League, United will be hosting the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar at Old Trafford.
