Chelsea to swoop for Nigerian winger next month?
Chelsea are reportedly lining up a January move to sign Samuel Chukwueze from Spanish side Villarreal.
The Blues have succumbed to defeats in four of their previous five league games and Lampard has recently stated that the club may look to strengthen the attack in the New Year.
According to El Desmarque, the west London giants are likely to spend on at least three players during the winter transfer window and Chukwueze is one of the top names on their wishlist.
The 20-year-old has impressed with his sheer pace and mazy dribbling in the final third of the field and he has contributed three goals and two assists in the Spanish La Liga this term.
His current deal with the Yellow Submarines only expires in the summer of 2023 but reports claim that a fee of around £30m could be sufficient to prise him away from the Estadio de la Ceramica.
The winger has already represented Nigeria on 13 occasions, scoring two goals in the process. He was part of the Super Eagles squad for the African Cup of Nations over the summer.
