Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals Manchester United's transfer plans
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the club could be in the transfer market for one or two players this month.
The Red Devils recently suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the Premier League and their performance was one to quickly forget about.
Following the game, Solskjaer confirmed that both Paul Pogba (ankle) and Scott McTominay (knee) will spend time on the sidelines which may force the club into spending on new players.
When pressed further, the Norwegian added that there is the possibility of one or two additions to the squad and hinted that the focus could be on the midfield, where they are short of options at the moment.
"That will give us less options and we have loads of games and important games, but still it has to be right and that is the big point. If it’s available and if it’s possible we will do something, definitely. We are looking at one or two," he told MUTV.
Nemanja Matic and Fred are presently the only fit senior midfielders in the club's ranks but Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira are also capable of featuring in the centre of the park.
Solskjaer also has the option of promoting the likes of James Garner and Dylan Levitt from the Under 23s but he appears keen on pursuing another young midfielder with Premier League experience.
