Real Madrid plot move for Ligue 1 striker
According to Daily Mail, Real Madrid are interested in signing Lille striker Victor Osimhen.
The Ivorian had been previously linked with a swarm of European clubs including the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona.
Osimhen has been one of the standout players in Ligue 1 this season, racking up 10 goals and 3 assists, which makes him the joint-third highest goal scorer in the competition at the moment. His contribution has helped Lille cling onto the top-four race in France.
He has also received 9 international caps thus far and featured in the African Cup of Nations last year.
Los Blancos' current striker options consist of Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic, with the latter one struggling to find his feet in La Liga.
The report also adds that the former Champions League winners have scouted Osimhen’s teammates Boubakary Soumare and Gabriel, with the former one being linked with Valencia and Manchester United.
Zinedine Zidane's men are sitting right behind the table-toppers Barca in the La Liga table.
