Everton plot swoop for Serie A winger
According to The Sun, Everton have entered the transfer race for Roma winger Cengiz Under, who has also been tracked by Arsenal and Tottenham.
The report also claims that the Toffees have made contact with Under’s representatives regarding a potential transfer.
The Turkish attacker is having a season troubled with injuries and lack of form, which has seen him go below the pecking order of Paul Fonseca. Under has managed only seven appearances in Serie A this season.
However, the 22-year-old was brilliant for Roma in the 2018/19 campaign, bagging 6 goals and 9 assists across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Toffees are also linked with Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez, who Carlo Ancelotti cites as a great option to strengthen the attack. Ancelotti turned out to be a great admirer of the Colombian during his reign at Napoli.
The Italian manager has been off to a great start at Goodison Park, picking up two wins in the last three games. Toffees are currently 11th in the Premier League table and will face Liverpool in the 3rd round of FA Cup on Sunday.
