Barcelona are reportedly interested in AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli claims the Spanish outlet Football Espana.

The Catalans’ outcast Jean Clair-Todibo has been linked with an exit for a while, with Milan turning out to be the potential suitors.  However, Barca are willing to offload the French defender only if Romagnoli is included as part of the deal.

The Italian centre-back has become a staple in the defence for Rossoneri despite the several managerial changes over the course. Besides, the 12-capped Azzurri star is well-known for his leadership skills.

Barca also believes that the inclusion of Romagnoli would be a productive one, citing his experience and the availability for the Champions League this season.

Ernesto Valverde has constantly paired Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet in the defence while the French duo Samuel Umtiti and Todibo were used as the substitutes.

The Blaugrana are currently topping the La Liga table and will face Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals on Thursday.
