Frank Lampard opens the door for Chelsea forward's exit
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has opened the door for Olivier Giroud to head through the exit door during the ongoing transfer window.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with an exit from the Blues this month after managing just seven appearances during the first half of the season.
It has recently been indicated that the Blues may want to sign a replacement before sanctioning the sale of the striker but Lampard has said that is necessarily not the case.
He added that the World Cup winner could end his association with the team this month but there are certain parameters including the asking price which needs to be met.
"Not necessarily. With Ollie the situation is, if it's right for everybody, and first and foremost that's us as the club, then we'll look at whether he can leave the club," he told.
Giroud has failed to play a single minute for the Blues in the New Year and the trend could remain the same for the forthcoming Premier League clash against Burnley at home.
