Arsenal favourites to land French defender

Arsenal are reportedly considered as the leading candidates to sign French defender Layvin Kurzawa from Paris Saint-Germain.

The left-back's current deal with Les Parisiens is due to expire at the end of the season and he has already made his mind up to pursue a fresh challenge.

According to RMC Sport, the Gunners are the favourites to sign the former Monaco man and they could finalise a pre-contract agreement ahead of a summer move.

The same outlet claims that the north London side are also looking at the possibility of luring him from Parc des Princes this month but that scenario would depend on them finalising a suitable transfer fee with Les Parisiens.

The Gunners are currently dependent on Sead Kolasinac for the left-back duties as the specialist but young graduate Bukayo Sako has filled in the position with reasonable success of late.

The north London side won't be able to bank on the services of Kieran Tierney until mid-March after the dislocation on his shoulder and Arteta could be eyeing a reinforcement before the transfer deadline.
