Chelsea plan to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga
Chelsea are reportedly considering the possibility of selling goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga when the current season comes to a close.
The Spaniard has struggled for form between the sticks this term and he has managed just six clean sheets from 31 appearances, where he has conceded 43 times.
During this period, there have been a few occasions where the 25-year-old has been poor with his handling and that has certainly frustrated the club's faithful to some extent.
According to Bleacher Report, Blues boss Frank Lampard could be open to the prospect of signing a new goalkeeper next summer but the club would first prefer the sale of Arrizabalaga.
It is added that Nick Pope of Burnley has caught their attention over the course of the current campaign and the Englishman could emerge as the prime goalkeeping target during next summer's transfer window.
Lampard has often defended Arrizabalaga for his unforced errors in goal but he was recently critical of the Spaniard for taking too long with the decision-making with his feet.
