Real Madrid eye £50m swoop for Premier League striker
Real Madrid are interested in signing up-and-coming Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli, reports The Daily Mail.
The report also adds that the Gunners are ready to increase his wages to fend off the interests of Madrid, who value the Brazilian at £50million.
The 18-year-old has been a revelation for the Gunners this season, finding the net 10 times across all competitions. He also scored a sensational goal against Chelsea in their recent 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Martinelli joined the Emirates outfit last summer, and it didn't take long for him to hit the ground running.
Los Blancos have now turned their attention towards the South American teenager to bolster their attacking line-up.
It is believed that Zinedine Zidane has been disappointed with the summer signing Luka Jovic, who is yet to find his feet in La Liga.
Madrid had also expressed their interest in Martinelli’s teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the next season.
