Manchester United make surprise decision on Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United have decided to recall Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan at the end of this season, according to Goal.com.
The Chilean winger joined the Nerazzurri last summer on a season-long loan and has failed to make a certain impact due to an ankle injury. He has made only seven appearances in Serie A this season.
The report also adds that Man Utd’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is completely against the sale of Sanchez to other clubs and instead wants him to stay at Old Trafford despite the poor track record. Sanchez’s loan deal doesn’t include any buy option for Inter.
In contrast, Antonio Conte's side have benefited highly from Romelu Lukaku, who looks completely a different figure since moving from Old Trafford last summer. The Belgian is in red-hot form with Inter, scoring 14 goals in Italian top flight this season.
United are yet to make a signing in the winter transfer window despite being linked with a legion of names.
