Chelsea offered chance to sign Serie A striker?
Chelsea have reportedly been offered with the opportunity to land AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek on loan during the ongoing transfer window.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has recently urged the club's hierarchy to make additions to the squad and he is particularly focused on strengthening the frontline.
A number of top-class strikers have been linked with the Blues in recent week and TuttoSport claims that the club have been offered with the chance to sign Piatek from the Rossoneri.
The Poland international has had a tough full season with the San Siro outfit and he has netted only five times from 19 appearances in all competitions for the club.
In this period, Piatek has fallen down the selection order with the winter arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he is currently the fourth-choice striker with Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao also fancied ahead of him upfront.
Milan are prepared to accept a short-term loan exit for the Pole this month but they are said to demand an obligatory £30m buy clause which is something the Blues may be reluctant to accept.
Tammy Abraham has been the go-to choice to lead the line for the Blues this term and he has netted 15 goals in all competitions. Still, he has been inconsistent of late and Lampard is said to want competition for places.
Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud are the other centre-forwards at the manager's disposal but the latter is expected to leave the club before the transfer deadline.
