Chelsea could move to agree deal for Real Madrid star
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a loan move for Luka Jovic from Real Madrid as they seek to strengthen their frontline for the backend of the season.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has recently stated that the club may spend before the deadline and the attacking department could be a point of focus with Olivier Giroud and Pedro tipped to head through the exit door.
According to Marca, the west London side have failed in their attempt to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain and that could switch their attention towards Jovic, who has struggled for regular gametime at Real Madrid.
The Serbian has netted only once since his summer move to Los Blancos and reports claim that Zinedine Zidane could permit his departure on a temporary deal to help him progress.
Jovic has largely played second fiddle to Zinedine Zidane for the centre-forward role at the Bernabeu but he could compete with Tammy Abraham at the Bridge, given the Englishman has been inconsistent of late.
