Man City interested in signing highly-rated Ligue 1 midfielder
Manchester City have reportedly made contact with Ligue 1 club Rennes over the signing of Eduardo Camavinga, according to Manchester Evening News.
The 17-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe following his eye-catching season with Rennes.
The French U-21 star primarily plays as a defensive midfielder and is also tracked by Europe's elites including the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Camavinga, who is said to be valued at €100m, has been instrumental behind Rennes' push for the top-four spot this season.
Having held the reputation for bringing the prodigious talents to spotlight, Cityzens cite the French teenager as their next target.
City are also presented with a task of replacing the veteran midfielder David Silva, who will part ways with the club at the end of this season.
Pep Guardiola’s men are currently trailing Liverpool by 16 points in the Premier League table, with the Reds looking the favourites to lift the title.
City will next face Tottenham this Sunday in an away fixture.
