King unimpressed with failed Manchester United approach

Bournemouth forward Joshua King reportedly feels Manchester United 'used him' during the closing stages of the winter transfer window.

The Red Devils failed with a transfer approach for his services on January 30 but they had supposedly indicated that they would make a renewed attempt on deadline day.

However, that was not the case and the Red Devils ended up sealing the services of Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua on loan for the rest of the campaign.

According to The Athletic, King feels he was 'messed about' by his former employers after they decided against making a fresh move for his signature on deadline day.

United desperately wanted a new striker after the back injury for Marcus Rashford and they had failed in their attempts to sign King, Danny Ings and Teemu Pukki before pursuing Ighalo from the Far East.

Ighalo's loan deal does not include the option to buy at the end of the season but Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Shenhua are open to the striker's sale, should United meet their demands in the summer.
