Arsenal enter the race to sign Championship winger
Arsenal have reportedly joined the likes of Newcastle United and Leicester City in the race to sign Said Benrahma from Brentford at the end of the season.
The Algerian has been in good form for the Championship outfit this term and his tally of eight goals and five assists has helped them remain in contention for the automatic promotion places.
According to Football.London, the Gunners have kept a close track on the player's performances and they could compete with the Magpies and Foxes to sign him when the transfer window reopens.
The 24-year-old is currently valued at around £15m but his valuation could raise by the summer, should Brentford seal their promotion to the English top-flight.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is expected to be busy this summer and the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil could head for the exit door.
Aubameyang has been reluctant to pen a new contract beyond the summer of 2021 and the Gunners are likely to be compelled to sanction his sale.
Ozil, meanwhile, has been tipped to leave the Gunners for a while and the German could head for an exit with a new deal seemingly unlikely.
