Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson may push for a permanent exit from the club this summer unless he is guaranteed with regular playing time.

The 22-year-old is currently in his second season on loan with Sheffield United and he has hugely impressed with nine clean sheets in the Premier League.

According to Manchester Evening News, he has no plans of staying with the Red Devils beyond the summer unless he is assured with the number one role ahead of David de Gea.

That appears unlikely with the Spaniard only recently signing a new long-term deal and Henderson may seek to seal a permanent switch to the Blades where he has made a huge reputation for himself.

Henderson's bright form between the sticks has guided the Blades to the sixth spot in the Premier League standings, one point ahead of parent club Manchester United.

He is currently valued at around £30m and Chris Wilder's side will have to break their signing record for yet another transfer window to land the highly-rated shot-stopper.
