Barcelona to speed up the pursuit of Adama Traore amidst Real Madrid interest
Barcelona are set to speed up their pursuit of Adama Traore amidst the interest from their arch-rivals Real Madrid, reports Daily Mail.
The Wolves attacker has turned the heads of the La Liga giants following his impressive campaign in the Premier League this season.
However, the Catalans fear that Madrid could throw a spanner in the works and hence have decided to hasten up the chances of signing their former star. The report also states that Barca haven’t submitted any formal offer for Traore.
The Spaniard has been in scintillating form this season, racking up 4 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League so far. Furthermore, one of his finest displays came against the defending champions Manchester City in both the legs. Pep Guardiola’s side are also said to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old.
Traore kickstarted his footballing career with the Barca's renowned academy, La Masia and later progressed to the reserves. He soon left the Blaugrana citing the lack of playing time with the main team, joining Aston Villa in 2015.
