Liverpool set to battle Man Utd for Dortmund ace

Liverpool have reportedly joined the transfer race for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The English prodigy is largely speculated to leave the Signal Iduna Park this summer, holding a release clause around £100m.

According to Goal.com, the Reds have added Sancho to their wishlist amidst the interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Earlier it was reported that United had become the favourites to land the Dortmund star in the summer, willing to meet his release clause.

Sancho has been one of the top performers in Bundesliga this season, racking up 12 goals and 13 assists. The 19-year-old has hit double figures for goals and assists, becoming the only player besides Lionel Messi to do so in the Europe’s top five leagues.

The Merseyside club have also invested their interest in RB Leipzig's Timo Werner, intending to bolster their attack for next season. The German striker reportedly holds a release clause worth £60m and is being tracked by a host of top clubs including the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
