Liverpool must trigger Timo Werner release clause by April?

Liverpool won't be able to sign Timo Werner for his reported £51m release clause unless they reach a transfer agreement with RB Leipzig by the end of April.
The German was heavily linked with a mid-season move to Anfield but the deal failed to materialise with Leipzig wanting their forward to stay put for the rest of the season.
According to Bild, the Reds are still keen on landing the former Stuttgart graduate but they need to find the breakthrough in the next couple of months to sign him at an affordable sum.
It has been widely reported that Werner has a release clause worth £51m on his contract signed earlier in the season but any interested club must meet the valuation before May.
Werner, who has bagged 23 goals in the Bundesliga and Champions League this term, is also on the radar of Bayern Munich and Chelsea, who are aiming to add competition for places in the centre-forward department.
