Abraham to miss Man United clash

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Tammy Abraham remains a doubt for the upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The England international has been the undisputed choice to lead the line for the Blues this term and he has contributed 15 goals and four assists in all competitions.

Abraham was able to face Leicester City before the winter break after a late fitness test on ankle injury but Lampard has revealed that the striker is still feeling the effects of the problem.

"Tammy is still feeling the effects, we’ve had to take him out of training a couple of days this week. He trained today so we’re hopeful but he’ll be assessed over the weekend," he told via Goal.com.

Should Abraham remained unavailable, Lampard may have to bank on the services of Michy Batshuayi to lead the attack. The Belgian has scored six goals for the Blues in all competitions this term.

Olivier Giroud is another option on the table for the Blues boss but the Frenchman has been out-of-favour and has not made the matchday squad for the past few months.
