Barcelona could sell Philippe Coutinho for Serie A striker
Barcelona could be forced to sell Philippe Coutinho to Inter Milan in order to land the services of Lautaro Martinez.
The Argentine turns out to be the priority for the Catalans in the summer transfer window as they are looking to bring in a successor for Luis Suarez.
According to Sempreinter, Barca could offload Coutinho, who is currently on loan with Bayern Munich, to the Nerazzurri to facilitate the signing of Martinez.
Bavarians are expected to send back the Brazilian to Spain at the end of this season, having found his performances not worthy enough to make him a permanent stay.
It was previously reported that Barca are looking to sign Martinez only by including players in the deal due to FFP regulations. Inter were also said to have demanded Antoine Gerizmann in the exchange as an out-and-out replacement.
The 22-year-old reportedly holds a release clause worth €111m, which could be triggered only in the starting weeks of July.
Real Madrid are also tracking the Argentine ace, thus trying to make things difficult for their arch-rivals.
