Chelsea in more advanced stage to sign England star

Chelsea are reportedly in more advanced talks to land the signature of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The west London side have been linked with the England international since the summer of 2019 and it appears that the club are holding negotiations with BVB for his services.

According to L'Equipe, the Blues are in constant contact with BVB regarding the former Manchester City graduate, who has contributed 13 goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga this season.

The German outfit are still expected to demand fees in excess of £100m for the attacker and reports claim that the Blues' prospects of signing him may depend on whether they can seal a Champions League group stage berth for next term.

The Blues have remained in the top four for more than four months this season but they face the prospect of dropping upto seventh in the standings, should they succumb to a defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
