United to offload duo ahead of Grealish pursuit

Manchester United will reportedly seek to sanction the departures of Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard prior to making an approach for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.

Pereira and Lingard regularly featured in the number 10 role in the opening half of the season but they have fallen down the pecking order with the January signing of Bruno Fernandes.

According to The Express, United are likely to offload the attacking duo at the earliest possibility with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting Grealish in the club's ranks to add more creativity.

Grealish recently admitted that he has been flattered by the transfer interest from United but added that he is focused on helping the Villains to avoid relegation at the present point of time.

Villa are likely to demand a hefty price of around £80m for their playmaker this summer, suppose they manage to preserve their top-flight status. Otherwise, they may part ways with their captain for just 50 percent of that value with the possible need to balance the financial books.
