Inter Milan to swoop for Marcos Alonso or Emerson?
Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on signing one of Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens.
The duo have struggled to cement a regular place in the starting lineup this term and reports have emerged that they could be shown the exit door in the summer.
According to Tuttosport, Conte is eyeing another option to Ashley Young for the left wing-back spot and he wants to land either Alonso or Emerson from his former club.
Alonso has been the more successful player between the two in the 3-5-2 formation and he was influential towards Chelsea's 2016/17 Premier League title under Conte.
Alonso's father has recently cited that the Spaniard is eyeing a return to the Serie A, where he previously made a name for himself with Fiorentina between 2013 and 2016.
Chelsea succumbed to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday. Alonso was sent off towards the end of that game for violent conduct.
